propulsion.  This gas will be confined within a coil of specialized PTFE tubing, where it can be subjected to pulsed electrical energy within a specialized transformer.  The electrically-activated side of the transformer will transfer energy to the xenon cationic gas within the tubing side of the transformer, which is then stepped down to a narrower tubing gauge so that the gas ions flow at an extreme velocity.  The mechanics of this process are described more completely in the article titled "Ionic Gas Applications" at this site.  In addition the detailed use this system for tests of "mass-flow fields" and mass-gravity fields" are further discussed in that report.  

With this method Maxwell's suggestion of "further tests" may yet be realized.
